Games released tend to have merchandise attached! Unfortunately for Pulseman, since it's somewhat obscure and got released near the end of the Mega Drive's life so didn't get as much attention as it deserved; there's not much merchandise to speak of. In any case, I have listed here what things I DO know exist.
PULSEMAN for MEGA DRIVE
The most important piece of merchandise is, of course, the original game itself. Released only in Japan, it's somewhat hard to get a hold of nowadays. |
"PULSEMAN" E.P
An image album of music tracks inspired by Pulseman was released on vinyl in 1994. There were 2 vinyls with a selection of tracks and another with a couple of other tracks on it. I don't know much about these vinyls as I don't own them yet. But if I can get my hands on them I will be sure to update info here. |
ELECTRACE PULSEMAN - STEREOTYPE
A CD album of re-arranged tracks from the game released in 1994. All tracks are produced and arranged by Stereotype (Satoshi Tajiri, Dai Sato and Yoshinori Sunahara, Junchi Masuda (according to original website)). This CD comes in a card case which folds open with a fold out slip and the CD inside.
Track Listing:
Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd. - Original Sale Price: 2,800 yen - COCC-11855 |
"PULSEMAN" CD
A CD album version release of the "Pulseman" vinyls. It seems that a track or so isn't included from the vinyl release ('Pulseman Gose To Party' for example). This CD was a compilation of music made by techno artists inspired by Pulseman using samples from the game itself. Released in 1995.
Track Listing:
Frogman Records. - Original Sale Price: 2,500 yen - FROG-002CD |
PULSEMAN FIGURE
The model that was made specifically for the game's box art. There's only one in the world which belongs to Game Freak themselves. Therefore there are none of these figurines around available for sale. |
T-Shirt
Apparently there was once a t-shirt sold in Shop 33 Kichijoji. Or that's what I can get from the info on the old Game Freak website from 2001 at least. I don't really know much about this merch, I don't even have a picture of it, but apparently it exists. |
Satoshi Tajiri: A Man Who Created Pokémon
A Japanese book about Satoshi Tajiri and his works. |
Ken Sugimori Works
A Japanese book about Ken Sugimori and his works. The majority of this book is filled with manga prints of Quinty and Jerry Boy and an interview with Sugimori, but there are also a few pages with Pulseman art and concepts, which is pretty cool to see! |
